Our Journey

Flavours was born from a passion for cooking and love for bold, unforgettable taste.

At Flavours we believe great food doesn’t just feed you—it surprises you, excites you, and brings people together.

Our journey started with a simple act of cooking for friends. We made gluten-free, dairy-free chicken tenders for a housewarming party and creamy dips. Everyone loved the fact that food was unexpectedly bold, yet comfortingly familiar. When everyone raved about the flavors, we thought, Why not share this with more people? That spark of inspiration led to our first booth at the Charlottesville farmer’s market.

We started as a chicken tender and dip vendor. Response was amazing. Charlottesville farmer's market is tight knit community and every vendor supports each other. We could not have asked for any better place to start with. While we loved cooking, we realized the live cooking at market is no small feat and it was too overwhelming for us to sustain. So, we pivoted—and leaned into our dips to build something amazing that can serve our mission  while doing it sustainably.

We come back at our kitchen table and focused on perfecting our dips what would become our signature creations - Flavored Aiolis- so bold and unique, we gave them their own name and logo:

Our first flavors were rooted in our Indian cooking traditions, but as we grew, so did our curiosity—and our menu. Today, each Fla-oli reflects a blend of cultures, memories, and a commitment to pushing the flavor envelope:

• Smoky Red – Indian-American fusion with real tamarind, zesty ginger, cayenne with hint of hickory smoke.

• Nutty Green – A vibrant, herb-forward blend of cilantro, lemon, and the rich nuttiness of peanuts.

• Peppery Mint – Inspired by the spice mix of India’s famous street snack pani-puri with a touch of tomato giving it unique flavor.

• Zesty Garlic – A tribute to bold American flavors with fresh garlic, parsley, lemon, and a hint of black pepper. It’s Inspired by America’s garlic obsession.

What makes Flavours unique is our commitment to boldness with honesty. We don’t water things down or hide behind buzzwords. If we say a Fla-oli has tamarind, you will taste tamarind. If it says garlic, you’ll taste garlic. We know that our customers crave real, exciting food and we strive to provide that. So we put real ingredients into every bottle, and never compromise on flavor. That’s our promise.

Our food has been cherished by the Charlottesville community, and now we’re working hard to share it with food lovers across America. Whether you’re layering it on burgers, using it as a dip, or spooning it straight from the jar (yes, we’ve seen it happen!), we’re here to make sure your meal are exciting.
